QUESTION: YEASTS IN THE EARS

Q: For 9 years now I’ve suffered from yeast in my ears. No matter what my doctor does, antibiotics and other kinds of eardrops, it still itches. Recently, it required two trips to the doctor’s office to remove all the wax in my ears. I’ve had this problem ever since I went south of the border during a vacation to south Texas. What can I do? I’m at wit’s end!--- Mrs. E.B.

Dear Mrs. E.B.: (PART I) Yeast is a major problem for many, many people, and the number is growing. Not just in the ears but inside the body. The topic is so big that I am going to have to respond to your question in two columns. This is only the first installment.
We see it so much nowadays in so many patients that we’ve researched the topic quite extensively, and have what we feel are answers for many sufferers of this problem. But, in the final analysis, you will need to consult with your personal physician about the feasibility of our suggestions.
First of all, yeast develops in most people because of a low pH in the kidneys. Conditions associated with low pH are: hypo/hyperglycemia, diabetes mellitus II, ulcers/indigestion, bladder/urinary tract infections, abnormal calcium absorption (causing both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), suppressed immune system and allergy.
If one sees white or yellowish tinge on their tongue, for instance, what they may be seeing is “thrush”, which is simply evidence that the yeast has traveled from the urinary tract, through the intestines, stomach, esophagus, on out to the mouth.
Secondly, yeast is so insidious and dangerous that once it has taken over it requires a yeoman’s effort to get rid of. Most allopathic treatments fail miserably, and are themselves as dangerous as they are ineffective in the long-term. Topically treating yeast is only short-term, at best. The problem is almost always systemic.
Finally, traditional medicine is woefully guilty in mis-treating yeast, often treating it with antibiotics. Yeasts love antibiotics, so they instead grow and go deeper in the tissues.
In the next column we’ll talk a little about some ideas that you and your doctor may consider for ridding you of this problem.

Dear Mrs. E.B.: (PART II) As stated in the last column, yeast often develops in most people because of a low pH in the kidneys. So the first place to start in your journey for a solution to your problem is to raise the pH in your body. In doing so, you will be addressing a host of other potential problems, including premature aging and suppressed immunology.
Ionized (electrically-charged) calcium can raise pH of the body. So can drinking more water and cutting down on refined sugar and caffeine. Add more fresh fruits and vegetables and reduce meat intake, and you’ll have the yeast on the run!
To speed the process, we note that specially processed cranberry capsules, combined with a small amount of garlic root, echinacea angustifolia, and other herbs may help. Colloidal Silver, cold-processed aloe vera juice, Noni juice, and other approaches have been documented in the literature as putting yeast out of business.
Topically, in your ear canals in this case, we suggest Miracell Botanicals solution used daily for a period of 30 days. It is important to strictly follow directions on the container for best results. None of the antibiotic/cortisone solutions are of any use against yeast, and usually make the problem worse.
A cautionary note: No matter how much your ears itch during recovery you must refrain from using cotton swabs or other objects. Of course, if the yeast, keratin, wax, desquamated tissues, and debris have collected or impacted your ears, your doctor can flush it out before you begin the regimen.
I hope these suggestions are useful to you and your doctor. We realize that this is an ongoing problem all over the nation, but feel that intelligent combination of the best of nature and best of medicine can work wonders in address the problem.
