Virtually neglected by mainstream healthcare today's
children suffer from a number of deficiencies,
especially those that comprise the building blocks
of growing bodies. These also have an impact on
their cognitive and communicative health.A Note to
Parents: Children present with special nutritional
needs relative to personal growth and development.
Numerous studies expose many prevalent deficiencies
among U.S. children. For instance, most children
have be lacking in receiving enough of an absorbable
form of calcium so that their bones, smooth muscles
and neurotransmitters can keep pace with their rapid
rate of physical growth. Furthermore, children too
often eat far too much animal protein, further
leaching calcium from already brittle
bones---uncorrected, this disposition follows them
into old age in the form of osteoarthritis and/or
osteoporosis. They also often ingest far too much
refined sugar, salt, iodine, and vegetables that
have been overcooked and stripped of essential
phytonutrients and trace minerals. Nutritional
supplementation has been shown effective in
resolving most of these deficiencies, along with
increased water intake, proper exercise, and
appropriate sleep. The following represents an
overview of a few of the items we stock to meet the
needs of children. We’ve tried to rank them in order
of greatest importance. However, every child is
different, and may need other items to a greater
degree. These products have been clinically tested
for safety and efficacy for all ages and are not
available through regular commercial channels.
Essential Nutrients- Far superior to the sterile,
synthetic, and allergy-inducing multivitamins
purchased through commercial outlets, “Essential
Nutrients” is all-natural, hypo-allergenic, and
supplements the average child’s diet with nutrients
that are needed to aid optimum growth and
development, and over-all resistance to disease. The
number of capsules taken corresponds with the
child’s age and body weight.
EPA-DHA (Omega-3 oils) Research has shown that
high-quality Omega-3 oils are necessary for strong
cellular health in the body. If your child eats
fried, fatty foods, they need Omega-3 oils to
neutralize their harmful effects, and to maintain
excellent brain health. One capsule per day for
those under 12 years of age, and up to 3 per day for
teenagers.
Chelated Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D- Leg cramps,
growing pains, sleeplessness, oversensitivity to
pain and discomfort, muscle twitching. These are
just a few of the conditions plaguing many children
today. They are simply not getting enough calcium
into their bodies to keep up with their rate of
growth. But, more importantly, the forms of calcium
they ARE getting are not absorbing into the bones,
causing an over abundance of “free calcium”. This
calcium type is already broken down into an
absorbable form (chelated), and has up to a 90%
absorption rate. Each tablet constitutes 300 mg. of
calcium in its most absorbable form for children.
Dosage is contingent upon degree of symptoms, body
weight, and how much (absorbable) calcium they are
receiving from other sources. Standard, long-term
dosage is 1-2 tablets per day.
Veggie Green Phytonutrient Complex- This wonderful,
all-natural supplement fills the voids and gaps
found in your child’s diet of nutrient deprived
fruits and vegetables. Filled with trace minerals
and numerous important micro-nutrients, Veggie Green
is on the “must take” list for every child.
Zinc Picolinate- This revolutionary form of zinc is
more than 5 times stronger and much more gentle than
harsh, elemental zinc. It reportedly can ward off
flu, colds, fungus, yeast, amoeba, and protozoa
parasites. Although not needed on a daily basis,
when used it supercharges the body’s immune system
as it dramatically increases fighter T-cell
production within the body. At the first signs of a
cold or flu, symptoms tend to disappear within
72-hours. Upon first signs of flu, one capsule with
a glass of water, and one capsule every 4-6 hours
thereafter for 72-hours (*see caution below).
E200- Children who live in dry, high altitude
climates need more vitamin E, especially if they
have frequent nose-bleeds, dry eyes, and skin. This
natural form of vitamin E also improves oxygen and
blood flow to the brain, which helps cognitive and
brain development. One capsule per day.
Aller-B Many children today need a good vitamin B
complex, since they obtain little in the modern
diet. Plus, they often allergic to the sources of
most commercially available B-complexes. This
hypoallergenic, natural B-complex helps aid nervous
and skin disorders, as it fills essential gaps in
your child’s diet.
Relax- Hyperactivity is a problem with many
children. Often over-stimulated by refined sugar,
high carbohydrates, caffeine, chocolate, and/or
psychotropic medications such as Ritalin, it is
difficult for them to relax as the day winds down.
